FAQ's

Non-profit Information:

K9 Mission is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to training service dogs, home companion dogs, and residential companion dogs to assist individuals who have a wide range of physical and cognitive disabilities.

Where Does My Donation Go?

Your donation goes directly towards the purchase, training and care of a K9. You can feel at ease knowing your donation is helping to provide a well-trained companion for a Veteran suffering from PTSD.

As a Veteran, Would I Have to Pay for A Service Dog?

There is no charge for veterans who are chosen to receive one of our Service Dogs. As the dog owner you will need to pay for things such as food and veterinary services that can average $1,000-$2,000 a year.

Sponsor a Dog & Have Naming Rights

You could honor a family member with our Puppy Naming Program. For the donation of $20,000, you can help K9 Mission raise and train a future Service Dog that will provide increased independence and support for a person in need. Your donation includes periodic photos throughout the puppy’s training, notification when the puppy you named is matched with a human partner and a charitable tax deduction. Please contact us for more information.

How Many Dogs Have You Trained and Placed?

Currently, we have 3 dogs in training and are in the process of placing our first K9. We are so grateful to our donors as we begin our mission.

What Are Your Goals?

Our annual goal is to train as many dogs as our donations allow and place them all. We can’t complete this goal alone. We need your help! We are grateful for all contributions.
